Preparation H® Cream with Maximum Strength Pain Relief is to be applied externally or in the lower portion of the anal canal only. Apply to the affected area up to four times daily, especially at night, in the morning, or after each bowel movement.
A dispensing cap is enclosed in each package to control dispersion of the cream to the lower portion of the anal canal. Before applying, remove the protective cover from the dispensing cap, then attach the cap to the tube. Lubricate the dispensing cap, then gently insert it partway into the anus. Thoroughly cleanse the cap after each use and replace the protective cover.
